These boats were designed for simple, exhilarating sailing pleasure. They perform superbly in strong conditions and yet are fast and responsive in light airs. The Platu also has provided thrilling sailing for crews at all levels of experience.

Both boats were stripped, sprayed and had a total refit in Nov. 2005 when all new standing rigging and hi-tech cored running rigging was installed. They have done only two King's Cups since.
