Calendar

Please find the RSYC 2003 Keelboat racing program below for you to prominently mark onto your sailing calendar. The racing in Pt Klang tends to be more cruiser style with the emphasis on fun whilst you learn the skills of sailing and coastal navigation. Malaysian sailors or would be sailors are invited to join the yachts where crews have only been introduced minutes before leaving the dock. Pretty casual Hey! In a mixture of Non competitive coastal cruises over the weekends and tricky one day harbour races often testing your patience in a difficult and busy waterway which is open to all sailing yachts that have IRC handicaps.

In a all out effort to increase the number of boats competing and provide new competition for sailors wanting to regularly race sailing yachts in Malaysia the Royal Selangor Yacht Club and Malaysian Yachting Assoc based in Port Klang have combined to run several pointscore racing series during the 2003 sailing year and the Raja Muda Int. Regatta during November. Kicking off on Feb 9th with a Opening Sail Past and a casual verandah barberque thrown in afterwards.

For those wanting to take yachting courses the RSYC will be conducting Introductory and advanced yachting courses at the club on the alternate weekends to the racing calendar weekends in the near future. Sailors interested in joining the RSYC yachts during these races or have friends who are interested in attending these courses can contact Letchu at the RSYC office at rmir@rsyc.com.my More information at the RSYC website http://www.rsyc.com.my
