Asian
Yachtmasters The aim of this course is to provide novices with a brief taste of sailing. By the end of a Two-day Starters or Introduction to Sailing Course, participants will have had a short introduction to the sport, including basic boat handling techniques and essential background knowledge thrown in. It is recommended that all participants consolidate this introduction with a seasons crewing experience and an Instructor or skipper onboard before going on and attending the two-day Advanced Crewing Techniques Course. Tuition will be given by trained AY Instructors, using appropriate supervision ratios with regard to location, size of vessels to be used and the level of instruction required. This syllabus also includes sections on Dinghy handling techniques which can be expanded to develop team building exercises, by assessing crew work on a continuous basis and a short oral interview as the basis for theory assessment.
